Deshnok Temple
Bhatt and Charan bards are respected as keepers of racial memories. The bards, in turn revere a woman who was a mystic and is now worshipped as Karni Mata. In the temple of Karni Mata in Deshnok many believe that the Charans are reincarnated as holy rats who scamper and squeek and nibble around the trident-wielding image of Karni Mata enshrined as the Mother Goddess Durga.
Bahai Temple
Bahai Temple, shaped as lotus was built in brilliant white marble completed and opened to the public in 1986.
Golden Temple
The Golden temple was built in 1577 in Amritsar, Punjab. It is the holiest of the sikh shrines. It is named as Golden Temple because of the fact that a part of its exterior is gilded in gold leaf. In the midst of the pool is the Hari Mandir. The Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs, is enshrined in it.
 
Guruvayoor Temple
Guruvayoor is 29 kms north-west of Thrissur. It is one of the most sacred pilgrim centres of Kerala, Its main attraction is the Krishna Temple or the Guruvayoorappan Temple.
Sri Jagannatha Temple
This temple was built in the twelfth century by Ganga King Chodagangadeva. Its swirling spire is 214 feet high. The temple complex is 650 feet comprising 4 chambers- the Deul, the Jagmohana, Natamandir and Bhogamandir, surrounded by 20 feet high wall. One must not miss to visit the smaller temples of Goddess Vimla, Laxmi and Vishnu, which lie within the precincts of the main temple.
Kailash Temple
Kailash Temple was built during the reign of king Krishna - I. It is the largest rock-cut shrine in India. It measures 84m x 47m. When this was caved out over 200,000 tonnes of rock were removed.
Khajuraho Temples
The Khajuraho Temples, built in a short span of a hundred years, from 950 - 1050 A.D. is situated in Madhya Pradesh., is truly India's one of the most unique temples, depicting a paean to life, to love, to joy, perfect in execution and sublime in expression. These 85 authentic temples, depicting human passions and while doing so, bringing out the emptiness of human desire, are truly unique in the world.

Khajuraho Temples are also architecturally unique. The Kandariya Mahadeo, the largest of the Khajuraho temples rises to 31meters height is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Vishwanath Temple, a three headed image of Brahma is enshrined in this temple, with a beautiful entrance with lions flanking the north and the elephants the south, steps, that lead to it.
Lalitagiri, Ratnagiri & Udaigiri Temple
Lalithagiri, Ratnagiri, & Udaigiri Temple is located in Orrisa. This is an ancient Buddhist centre for learning. Buddhist sculptures have been excavated here.
Sun Temple
Sun Temple was built in 13th century by Raja Narasimhadeva along the shores of Bay of Bengal. The collosal image of the chariot of the Sun, drawn by seven horses and 24 wheels symbolises time. This exquisite specimen of Oriyan craftsmanship is poetry in stone and is included in the world heritage monuments. The Natya Mandir or the dancing hall of Sun temple is the only remanants of a glorious past which this place was a witness to. The temple is a brilliant chronicle in stone, with thousands of images including deities, the Surasundaris, heavenly damsels and dancers and other scenes from courtly life.
Meenakshi Sundareswar Temple
Meenakshi Temple was built in the 17th century in Madurai which is famous for this temple. It is one of India's biggest temples which is dedicated to Meenakshi, the consort of lord Shiva. The monumental gateways to this temple are among the most elaborately carved in South India. This temple houses over 30 million sculptures, hall of thousand pillars, icons, photographs & illustrations these all have made this temple a famous tourist spot.
Thirupati Temple
Thirupati temple is located at the foot of the Tirumala Hills. On these hills the ancient and beautiful temple of Lord Venkateshwara stands. Thirupati is the most greenest and the most picturesque pilgrimage centre in the south. Here devotes stand in long queues for a glimpse of their Lord.
